Having enjoyed gardening from a young age I took the decision to train formally and start a gardening business in 2006.  I gained a diploma with distinction from the R.H.S, followed by a Garden Design Diploma with distinction in 2013. Currently I attend several study days each year led by world class designers and horticulturalists, such as Nigel Dunnett, Charles Dowding, Neil Lucas.
 

I now enjoy designing gardens and creating planting schemes for new builds, and redesigning planting for older properties.  My knowledge of plants and their requirements will ensure that you will get the look that you desire - modern, impactful, naturalistic, cottage, or minimalistic  - and that the plants will thrive in your situation.

In any spare time I enjoy competing at the Shrewsbury Flower Show, and meeting like minded gardeners and plant growers. We have created six show gardens in recent years, with four top awards, and in 2019 were 'Best in Show'. Now with my friend and colleague Emma, I am looking forward to competing at BBC Gardeners World Live in June 20025.

Outside work, I love walking in the Shropshire hills where I live, with our collie Rona; and developing the gardens of the house we moved to 6 years ago.  It's about 2 acres, set on a very steep hillside at 750 feet high, so a little different from our last sheltered, town garden in Shrewsbury! It's a constant challenge and interest to see what will grow, and how we can garden to best help the wildlife.
